A nice moment: full house at one of our Sri Lankan homes. The group tours by one of our travel partners Koning Aap take place again. Starting in Sri Lanka in December 2021 and Januari 2022. 

We hope the can come soon to other countries too. Would be great, don't you think!

ResiRests mission is to make social impact. That's why it is important to measure our impact. Due to Corona, our contribution sadly has been limited. Nevertheless, we like to know the impact we made. Because every singular meet up between travelers and a local family counts.

In February, intern Remi from The Netherlands will start developing an impact report for ResiRest. He might need your cooperation on investigating this issue. Also, he will share the results. To be continued. 

Covid19 still leaves its mark on the tourism industry. Travel organizations and their clients are careful. Yet, we do notice people traveling, they organise the travel plan themselves. In order to make as much impact as possible, in some countries we support bookings by travelers directly. They can make reservations by our website. This is temporarily. We hope to manage a sustainable flow of reservations by travel organizations by the summer of 2022.

We also ask travelers to help us in making test bookings for new ResiRest local families. So, we can start up locally, and be ready for the regular bookings. 

This is a nice combination! Explore Capetown by bike, and join for a meal at a local families home. A new ResiRest experience power by the local Southafrican community. We are glad we could develop this experience together. The first reactions by travelers were very positive. In the future, we like to develop more experiences like this all over the world.
