The roads lead you through a stunning landscape. Wide and green. With lots of agriculture on the flat parts. The steep limestone carst give an interesting twist to the scenery.

Ninh Binh 3x must do
Besides the landscape, there’s more to explore! You might have seen quite some old temples. Yet here you find a new and very large temple complex.
Touch the statues for good luck, like many local people do. And, gaze at the huge pagoda and Buddhas in silver and gold. On the Bai Dinh mountain, all the buildings are surrounded by a nice garden, and the views are incredible.
Another must do is a boat tour. Many boatsmen and -women are ready every day to take you on a tour. Sit back and relax, because the rowers guide you slowly but steady around. By boat, you have a lovely view on the Ninh Binh landscape. You level with the landscape completely.
A tour takes a couples of hours. On the way, you come by some temples too. And, one of the major highlights of the boattrip: make your way through the caves. You might have to bend down a bit, since some of the caves are pretty tight.
